    William Kilburn 1745-1818 was better known for elaborate chintzes, so it blew my socks off when I first discovered these designs, flicking the pages of The World of Interiors in 2014. They look as if they were made 150 years later than they were, I love simple almost abstract shapes.

    "Once stripped the chair turned out to be a Victorian. Sophie's beautiful fabrics are lovely to work with and I think the Geraniums linen suits the style of this chair perfectly. The skirt hiding the legs is typical for the Victorian era as 'legs should not be seen' even on chairs!"
