If you resonate with Sophie's hand-painted style, sense of colour and tradition-with-a-twist but cannot find your perfect fabric or paper in store - commissioning a bespoke print is an exciting option.
You would provide visual references to discuss directly with Sophie and a new pattern is created for wallpaper or linen as you wish.
Custom colours
If you are especially drawn to one of Sophie's existing print designs but wish it were available in different colours to coordinate with your interiors - please enquire about custom colourways.
Sophie is able to adapt any pattern into almost any colour palette. You can provide references from popular paint charts or discuss a suitable palette together.
Restoration
Bespoke hand-painted pattern projects are often rooted in restoring antique designs. You may have architecture in your home or a historical object that you'd like to reference in a pattern. You might wish to restore or reproduce existing painted motifs, for example to preserve murals or fading vintage wallpapers and bring threadbare printed textiles back to life.
With a career that began in museum archives, Sophie is well versed in decorative art history and passionate about referencing and reviving the past to create interiors for modern life.
Materials and methods
If you are looking for a particular kind of base cloth or traditionally printed wallpaper to suit the era of your interior - this can be accommodated too. Sophie works with the leading textile and wallpaper printers in the UK who are deeply immersed in the heritage of their craft. We are able to collaborate and produce unique results sympathetic to your project.
